The PMI PMP certification is a globally recognized project management credential. The PMP certification demonstrates that the certified professional possesses the project management knowledge, experience, and skills to bring projects to successful completion. The practitioners who hold the PMP certification are well-positioned to provide the professional skills necessary to lead project teams and achieve successful project results.

Education and National Certification

  • Students should have or be pursuing a high school diploma or GED.

There is a National Certification exam available to students who successfully complete this program:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)® exam

The Project Management Institute requires that you meet some initial requirements before you are eligible to sit for the PMP Certification exam. These include having a certain amount of professional project management experience and completing a certain number of professional development units (PDUs). Once you have met these requirements you will be able to take the PMP Certification exam.

 

Before you apply, make sure you meet one of the following sets of PMP Certification requirements:

  • Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or the global equivalent), plus 60 months of experience leading projects within the past 8 years and 35 hours of project management education/training or CAPM Certification
  • A 4-year degree, plus 36 months of experience leading projects within the past 8 years and 35 hours of project management education/training or CAPM Certification

+ Are these courses associated with an accredited school?
These courses are offered by Texas A&M University Texarkana, in partnership with Job Training Courses (JTC). Texas A&M University-Texarkana is a regionally accredited institution and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).

+ Are there available financial aids (FAFSA, Pell Grant, etc)?
We currently do not have support for federal or state grants. However, we offer zero interest payment plans for up to 12 months. Students can take advantage of these payment plans without worrying about credit check.

+ Can I verify if this is legitimate?

Yes. These programs are designed to be portable and accessible wherever you are. However, please note that certain programs are only designed to be taken for employment within the United States. An example of this are the Healthcare programs.

+ If I cannot complete the program within the prescribed duration, what are my options?
